The firm mf profil + ic architecture, which was responsible for the comprehensive remodeling of the Potaissa Hotel & Spa in Turda, Romania, set out to make the most of space and light in the iconic building. They didn’t see an ageing structure, but rather a blank canvas to build on.
A winning solution – With AQUAPANEL® Technology
The architects relied on our drylining system in renovating the hotel, using it in 70 % of interior spaces. The easy handling and versatility of the solutions enabled the team to complete the project quickly and efficiently.
The applied AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Indoor is 100 % water-resistant and provides outstanding corrosion resistance, a crucial point due to the chlorine used in swimming pools.
The final result perfectly embodies the architects’ description of their approach, “Timeless architecture is less about trends and more about the quality of space, light, the choices of material and the attention to detail.”
